Customer Testimonials Cable Reviews

Testimonial by Stefano A. (Italy)

Anthony,

I received the Terminator power cable today.

I am sincerely amazed of its quality: the build is very good and the sound is exactly what I was looking for.

I must say that the description of it in your site corresponds fully to its characteristics. The cable is extremely musical, my sistem finally relaxed down, lost completely its hecticness. Now it sounds quite natural. And I obtained the result with just one cable! At first I used it on my integrated amplifier. The result was quite good. Then I tried it from the wall plug to my power strip. Even better, its qualities were shared among all pieces of the system. The soundstage is very three dimensional, not only deep. The sound is rich but detailed at the same time and the bass is wonderful. All this after 5 hours of continous use. I expect that it gets even better after complete burn-in.

Thank you very much, my best compliments and rest assured that I will return to you for my future cable needs.

Best Regards,

Stefano

I recently purchased 1 Terminator and 2 Stealth power cords from Anthony. I use a combination of modified and upgraded Conrad Johnson power and preamp in a bi-amp configuration to drive Sonus Faber Extremas. The front end is Electrocompaniet EMC-1 that I use as a transport with a DAC-Lite modified by the good people at Tube Research Labs. The addition of the Element Signature power cords made a significant improvements in detail with improved accuracy and sound stage. The bass became tighter and the entire presentation became more enjoyable. To borrow an expression, it just sounds better. The fit and finish of the Stealth and Terminator are first class and the cords are easy to work with. Anthony gave me quick responses to my questions and provided helpful and knowledgeable information. I can highly recommend either the Stealth or Terminator power cords. I hope to have the opportunity to audition the Element Signature speaker cables and interconnects in the near future.

Thanks Anthony, RC

When I first received my first 2 Terminator powercord, I am really surprise by the packing, the wooden box packing. It is really top class compare to most of the branded powercord. This is also the first time my wife ever ask me to keep the packaging box. In fact, she took one and store her stuff. This powercord is very flexible. It easily blend into my very compact area. I always have trouble to find good and flexible powercords for my poweramps due to space contraints.

I am now using the three Terminator powercords on my 2 poweramps and one DVD player . First impression, the sound is analogue but not as warm as the Shunyata Taipan helix vx. However, it produce slightly more details and dynamics than the Shunyata. Shunyata has more air on the vocals but Terminator has a more cleaner and rounded sound which I prefer. Both has similar soundstage and depth. As for the bass, Terminator sounds tighter to me.

The service from Elementcable is one of the best I have dealed with. Imagine the first time when I ordered a powercord from them, they sent me a email asking if I ordered the powercord with wrong plug before processing the order.

I already recommeded my friends and introduced them the Element powercords which I highly praised for the quality on the powercords and service.

They are not yet broken in, but I can already tell that the Matador is awesome.

I did a head to head with a set of Stereophile recommended cables that will remain unnamed for now with the Matador on left channel and other cable on right. Put on one of my favorite high quality recordings, in this case SACD (Ayre C5XE disc player, Modwright tube preamp, Classe CAM 350 monoblocks, B&W Nautilus 800s) and spent some time listening to left and right channels in isolation on repeated sections of music that I know really well. It was amazing how much more resolved the Matador was. Low end bass and mid bass extension is phenomenal, almost three dimensional if you can believe this.

I could talk about my experience for hours, but it all nets out to this -- the Matador unveils a tremendous amount of information that was previously lost. Experientially, the music just feels more 'right' and I admit that I got choked up at a few recordings that hadn't moved me in years -- all reminding me of why I got into this hobby in the first place.

You guys have got a great product on your hands.

The Titan Cu, Element Cable’s reference copper interconnect, is for the audiophile music-lover – no, not a contradiction in terms. Stop listening for the faintest hint of colouration, a strangled double-bass or a tenor sax stripped of its natural timbre, because you won’t hear this. Rather, you’ll be distracted by…nothing…but the music. Now, I’m your typically insecure, paranoid audiophile, constantly worried I might be missing out on something, always searching for perfection. But this cable cured me! With tonality and transparency across all the frequencies. A high, rich-sounding cymbal at the start of Miles Davis’s ‘So What’ on Kind of Blue sizzling away satisfyingly, set nice and deep in the soundstage. A normally muddy bass on the Kings of Leon’s ‘Knocked Up’ now underpinning Caleb Followill’s vocal tunefully. The Doves’ beautiful ‘There Goes the Fear’ no longer harsh or overly compressed, but listenable. The baroque strings of Christopher Hogwood’s Academy of Music delicate, yet vibrant throughout Vivadi’s ‘Four Seasons.’ After a fairly lengthy burning-in period, during which I despaired over an initial lushness or darkness, the Titan Cu came to life and did what Chord Company, Analysis Plus, van den Hul and Audioquest couldn’t – make my listening experience engaging and enjoyable. I took a stab in the dark buying a mid-price cable from a relatively unknown company, using one, very economical and unbiased review as a guide (see Element’s website). I can safely say I wasn’t disappointed. Even without the generous and unassuming service offered by Anthony and co, this cable is a veritable bargain that satisfies on every level. From an audiophile that loves music first – thank you Element.
